Do you want to know what I learned about speeches in my public speaking class in Part 1? Well, you came to the right place. Anyway, lets move on.
So, first things first, speeches have three parts: the opening of a speech, the middle of a speech, and the closing of a speech. Here are the details on each part:
Part 1: The Opening of a Speech
The opening of a speech are the first sentence(s) of a speech that you are writing or speaking. For example, my class uses "Hi, my name is ________." and then "Today I am going to talk about ___________." But you could always use something else.
Part 2: The Middle of a Speech
The middle of a speech is where the reasons, facts, opinions, information, and details about the topic are included. For example, if your topic is about a crystal ball, then you should write or say whether it is heavy or not, whether it is see-through or not, and things like that for facts. You should also do the same for the rest.
Part 3: The Closing of a Speech
The closing of a speech is the last sentence of a speech. For example, my class uses "Thank you
for listening." But you could always use something else.
Now I will tell you some things what a Confident Speaker and a Non-Confident Speaker act like when they are on stage.
Confident Speaker Characteristics
Making Eye-Contact
Put your Hands at your Side\Do Hand Gestures
Standing Straight and Tall
Non-Confident Speaker Characteristics
Twitching
Covering your Face
You are Making Yourself Small
Looking Down
Fidgeting
You Have a Quiet Voice
Not Making Eye-Contact
Slouching
Now I will tell you some things that a Good Audience would do and what a Bad Audience would do.
Good Audience
Being Quiet
Listening
Making Eye-Contact
Not Eating
Paying Attention
Bad Audience
Making Noises
Not Looking
Eating
Not Listening
Talking
Now here is my first speech that I wrote in my class about my special item: "The Crystal Ball."
My Special Item
"Hi, my name is Sahil. Today, I am going to talk about my special item. It is a crystal ball. Some reasons I like my special item are that if you put your finger behind it, your finger will appear big. Another reason is that there are some constellations that we can see on the crystal ball. The constellations' color is white, but the crystal ball's color is the color on the back of the crystal ball. Its stand color is gray, and the stand's holders look like waves. Also, the holder of the crystal ball is shaped like a donut. I think the crystal ball is super cool and fun to play with. That is some information about my special item: The Crystal Ball. Thank you for listening."
Here is a picture of my special item " The Crystal Ball "

Well, what did you think? Type it in the comments below.
Now here is the Confidence Formula for speeches that I learned in my class.
Confidence Formula
1.) Practice = Presenting with your Family, Friends, In Front of a Mirror, and Stuffed Animals + 2.) Preparation = Plan your Speech, Write, and Research
Now here are some Tips to not feel nervous to present in front of a crowd.
1.) Memorize the first two sentences of your speech.
2.) Be positive and give good pep-talks to yourself.

Next, if you want to see all the writing category blog posts, in which this blog post is also in that category, then click here. Finally, some of you want to exit and not go to the next part, or some of you do not want to exit and go to the next part. Maybe you are bored and want to exit. Maybe some of you want to learn more and do not want to exit. Either way is fine. It is completely your decision to make.
I really liked the effort and hard work you put into your first blog. It's nice and short. Keep going and all the best!
You could have been more descriptive, but good effort. Keep up the spirit and do better next time.
A simple and sweet blog. Well done Sahil!!
For your age your command on language is good. In depth reading on the topic will will make you a good blogger and speaker. Keep it up.
